Terms and conditions
The terms on which you may use this website, and what it is and is not. Last updated 14 September 2026.
Acceptance
This website, www.phchelps.com, is owned by the Psychological Help Centre. You may only use this website if you accept these Terms and Conditions and the accompanying privacy policy.
We reserve the right to amend the Terms and Conditions and the privacy policy at any time at our sole discretion. Amendments become effective upon posting. It is your responsibility to review the Terms and Conditions and privacy policy in force at the time you use the website.
This website is not a clinical service
This is the most important thing on this page, so it comes before the legal machinery.
Everything published on this site — condition pages, service pages, articles, frequently asked questions — is general information. It is not a diagnosis, it is not treatment, and it is not advice about you or about any particular person. Reading it, or contacting us through it, does not create a clinician–client relationship. That relationship begins when you have an appointment with one of our psychologists, and not before.
No page on this site can tell you what is happening to you or to somebody you care about. Only a qualified clinician who has assessed that person can. The full position is set out in our medical disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
This site is not a crisis service and is not monitored around the clock. If you or somebody else is in immediate danger, do not use this website, our email or our messaging channels to seek help — here is what to do instead.
Appointments, booking and payment
PHC is an appointment-only practice. Walk-ins are not accommodated at either clinic.
Booking through this site is an enquiry, not a confirmed appointment. When you send us your details, you are asking us for an appointment. We will come back to you by telephone or WhatsApp with a psychologist, a time and a fee. An appointment exists once you have agreed to all three and payment has been received — and not before.
A booking payment of half the session fee holds your slot. It is due at least 24 hours before the appointment and is paid in cash or by bank transfer. Until it has been received the time is not held; nothing will have been charged at that stage, so there is nothing to refund. The rest of the fee is paid after the session, in cash or by bank transfer.
Fees vary by psychologist and by service. You are told the fee applicable to your appointment before you are asked to pay anything.
Information you give us. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide when enquiring — including the name and age of the person who will attend. We rely on them to match you to an appropriate psychologist.
Appointments for children and for others. Where you arrange an appointment for a child or for another adult, you confirm that you are entitled to do so as their parent, legal guardian or otherwise.
Third-party booking. Our booking and payment are handled through an external scheduling platform. Your use of that platform is also governed by its own terms and privacy policy. How this affects your information is set out in our privacy policy.

Speaking to someone starts here
PHC is appointment-only. Message or call and a real person answers — Monday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm PKT.
Not sure whether this is us? Contact us anyway. We will tell you directly whether we can help, and refer you elsewhere if we cannot.
Six details, and we can match you
- Name of the person who will attend
- Their age
- What is going on, in your own words
- Whether you would prefer a male or female psychologist
- Online, or in clinic in Karachi
- Whether the person attending is a minor or elderly
If someone else is paying, we will also ask for guardian or payer details. A slot is held once the booking payment is received — half the fee, at least 24 hours ahead.
