Narmeen Askari is an Associate Clinical Psychologist with over five years of clinical experience and 2,500+ hours of direct client work. She works exclusively with women and girls, supporting adolescents and adults with concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, emotional regulation, stress, self-esteem, and relationships.
Her approach is trauma-informed and draws on evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), person-centred and mindfulness, and EMDR.
Islamically integrated psychotherapy
A core part of her practice is Islamically integrated psychotherapy. As an Alimah Program graduate of Al-Emaan Institute and trained in Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP) Level 1, Narmeen values creating a therapeutic space where faith is welcomed as an integral part of the healing process.
She believes that seeking therapy does not contradict tawakkul. Rather, therapy can be a means of understanding ourselves, processing the wounds we carry, developing healthier ways of coping, and strengthening our relationship with Allah while taking the means available to us.
Narmeen strives to provide a non-judgmental, religiously safe space where women and girls can explore their experiences without feeling that their faith will be dismissed, questioned, or used to invalidate their struggles.

Sessions are 50 minutes, in clinic in Karachi or online. Which clinic and which times are confirmed when you book — psychologists are matched on speciality and presenting needs, not on who happens to be free.
You can ask for Narmeen by name when you send your details, and we will tell you plainly whether there is a slot and who else fits if there is not. Her caseload is women and girls only, so if you are asking on behalf of a man or a boy we will match you to another psychologist instead. Booking at PHC starts as an enquiry rather than a confirmed appointment: we come back to you by phone or on WhatsApp with a psychologist, a time and a fee, and nothing is charged until you have agreed to all three.
